To Maintain Your VC Promise:
To continue benefiting from the VC Promise each year, you must fulfill the following requirements:

Renew Your Application: Renew your FAFSA or California Dream Act application annually.

Enrollment Requirement: Maintain full-time enrollment (12 or more units) at Ventura College during both Fall and Spring semesters.

Academic Standards: At the end of your first academic year (Fall and Spring semesters), you must meet the following academic standards:

A 2.00 minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted. |
Quantitative Standard |
A 67% minimum course completion of all coursework attempted.* |
*Standard rounding rules apply when calculating a student's quantitative measurement.
Grades Considered:
- Completed coursework includes grades of A, B, C, D, P (Pass), CR (Credit), or CRE (Credit by exam).
- Not considered completed coursework are grades of F, I (Incomplete), IP (In Progress), W (Withdrawal), EW (Excused Withdrawal), MW (Military Withdrawal), NC (No Credit), NP (No Pass), and RD (Record Delayed). All grades are counted as attempted units.
Consequences of Non-Compliance: Failure to meet these academic standards will result in the cancellation of your Second Year VC Promise for the following academic year.
Summer Coursework Option: If you fall below the standards at the end of your first year, you may use summer coursework to meet these standards.
